Together, we’ve created a specialized, patient-centric practice to care for an underserved patient population in Northern Nevada. Katie Allen, PhD, CCC-SLP
Owner and Speech Pathologist
Katie is the owner of Summit Voice and Swallowing. She received her Master’s Degree in speech pathology from the University of Northern Colorado, and her PhD at the University of Nevada, Reno. In her free time, Katie enjoys taking her dog, Whiskey, on hikes and skiing with her husband.

Mackenzie Shevlin, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Pathologist
Mackenzie received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a mom to Daisy, her Great Pyrenees, and Diego, her Snowshoe Siamese. In her free time she makes dog bandanas and dog treats for her small business, PyrPaw!

Shelby Sands, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Pathologist
Shelby received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Linguistics from the University of Nevada, Reno, and her Master’s degree from New York University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Shelby enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and with her family in her free time.

Admin
Allison is currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno, for her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is the president of the club volleyball team and the treasurer of NSSLHA at UNR. At Summit, she is a co-social media manager and admin.

Admin
Regan is currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno, for her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Gunner, and going to Tahoe in the summer. At Summit, she is a co-social media manager and admin.
